When sweet looking actress Luckie Lawson told her fans that she will be coming out with her own production house in Flex newspaper, many thought she was blowing her own horn as being done by many entertainers. She therefore stunned the media people present when she introduced Ramsey Nouah and Chika Ike from Nollywood as well as Sierra Leonean movie director and musician Jimmy B.

The atmosphere at the press launch was one of fun and revealing as interactions went on between the three people about to shoot a new movie from Luckie`s new production house called 7TH ACT PRODUCTIONS. When asked about the secret behind the name of her production, she said there are different acts in the profession but the seventh one is the one which demands more from actors and actresses.

In response to what her production house is bringing to fans in the country and beyond, she said Ghanaian movies are becoming better by the day so she is about to add her name to it and as usual take it to a different level. The first movie to come from 7th ACT Production is titled “FORBIDDEN” which is still being shot at the time of the press launch.

Some of the known faces in the movie are Ramsey Noauh, a Nollywood giant known for his good looks and antics in movies. Also appearing is the actress who has been nominated twice in AMAA (Africa Movie Academy Awards) Chika Ike also from Nollywood. Chika is a known face in Nollywood who needs no introduction in the movie world. Locally, Luckie Lawson herself will be featured in the movie as well as Martha Ankoma, Stone of GTV, Stacey of Music Music and introducing some new faces. The man to direct movies from 7th Act Productions is Jimmy B who is known best for his musical prowess. Jimmy, a Sierra Leonean is about to show the other side of him through movie directing in Ghana.

In the words of Ramsey Nouah, he said he has five more movies to shoot before bowing out of the industry which has made him who he is now. And among the five movies, Luckie Lawson`s Forbidden is one of them whiles the rest will be his own production. Luckie`s 7th Act first movie will be shot entirely in Ghana on different locations on themes that the Ghanaian culture can relate to. She said the movie is about the positive image of a woman in the society. This is a step in the right direction as far as the movie industry in the country is concerned and we wish Luckie and her crew members well as they join the few doing international standard movies.
